This project aims to develop solutions that promote sustainability and behavior change through innovative re-use and recycling methods. The goal is to showcase products and services that contribute to urban sustainability, emphasizing the role of recycling in creating a sustainable society.
By incorporating AI, we aim to enhance awareness, provide new insights, and improve existing products.

Since the focus of this project was sustainabillity and recycling I chose to create an app with recycling/ reusing furniture in focus. I started by doing research and sending out a form to people asking about their recycling habits and if there would be any interest in this kind of app. Then I wrote down different ways that I could incorporate AI in the products before sketching on design ideas.
I took some inspiration from Pinterest and Facebook Marketplace and started sketching on a wireframe and then creating the graybox in Figma

For this app, I selected a neutral color palette featuring brown and beige tones to evoke a sense of calm and cleanliness. These colors are often associated with interior design, making them a fitting choice for the app's aesthetic.
The headlines are set in FreightBig Pro, a serif typeface that adds an elegant touch. For the body text, I chose Helvetica Neue due to its simplicity and readability.

Throughout my design process, I use an iterative approach, making adjustments to ensure the product is well-refined. I tested the design with different users and gathered their feedback. Based on this input, I made several changes, including adjusting the color palette to meet WCAG standards, and increasing the spacing between images and their captions in the app.
